H2O Temporary Treasure

Temporary Treasures is a unique, collaborative art workshop led by environmental artist Sean Corcoran. Similar to mosaic-making, participants work together to create a large-scale artwork using an eclectic collection of objects, including buttons, beads, shells, stones, old keys and other everyday items. Participants are also invited to bring along their own personal ‘treasures’ to contribute to the shared creation. Unlike a traditional mosaic, nothing is glued down. Once the artwork is complete, it is carefully dismantled, leaving behind photographs, memories and a time-lapse video capturing the creative process. This hands-on, mindful experience encourages participants to live in the moment, let go of attachment and reconsider our relationship with possessions and waste. By transforming discarded objects into something beautiful, the workshop inspires conversations about sustainability, reuse and positive environmental change.
