World Peace Initiative and Visions of Peace Initiative. The Golden Rule Summit, founded by and held under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty Queen Angelique-Monét Gureje-Thompson, Queen of Eti-Oni, Osun State, Nigeria, brings together international voices from diplomacy, culture, faith, humanitarian service, children and youth, women’s leadership, technology, and the Global South around one of humanity’s most enduring principles: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. The opening evening will feature a red carpet, distinguished and special guests, the award-winning film screening, and a special post-screening conversation and Q&A with Cheryl Halpern, award-winning filmmaker, humanitarian, and former Chair of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, USA. ABOUT THE FILM THE GOLDEN RULE: DO UNTO OTHERS explores the presence of the Golden Rule across the world’s religious and cultural traditions and considers how this universal principle can foster greater tolerance, empathy, dignity, and peaceful coexistence. Traveling across cultures, faiths, and communities, the documentary brings together respected religious leaders, scholars, and spiritual voices from around the world. Through their reflections, the film examines the shared belief that we should treat others with the same dignity, compassion, and respect we would wish for ourselves. Moving across different faith traditions and cultural perspectives, the film demonstrates how the Golden Rule transcends geography, religion, and cultural difference and can serve as a foundation for understanding, peaceful coexistence, and positive change. At a time of increasing division across the world, THE GOLDEN RULE: DO UNTO OTHERS asks a simple but profound question: How might our world change if we truly treated others as we ourselves would wish to be treated? The special screening marks the opening of The Golden Rule Summit, October 19–22, 2026, a four-day gathering in Rome exploring human dignity, diplomacy, children and youth, culture, women and the Global South, inclusive development, artificial intelligence, humanity, and global responsibility.
