Through the pages of Shokunin, I invite you behind the scenes on journeys up and down Japan, sharing the stories of the country’s most treasured artisans and the regions they call home; from mask-makers in suburban Kyoto to indigo dyers with stained hands in the mountains of Gifu. This book has been a true labour of love, and I’m so proud of how far the project has come, and how much we’ve been able to support the artisans included. Now I can’t wait to share the book with you for the first time in person! 📆 Date 23–29 October 2026 10:00–16:00 daily ⏱️ Official Opening Preview Friday 23 October 18:00–21:00 📍 Venue @clinic_tokyo 1-33-18 Sangenjaya, 154-0024 (behind Blue Bottle Coffee) If you’re visiting Tokyo or live locally, please stop by and say hello! We will be hosting the official opening evening on Friday 23 October between 18:00–21:00, and books will be available for sale throughout the duration of the week-long exhibition. Everyone is welcome, and I hope to see you there!
