Porter’s Place & Dunbar Tower Open House

Grand Opening Celebration — Celebrate the opening of Porter’s Place & Dunbar Tower with tours, food trucks, art, and community stories. The Ann Arbor Housing Commission invites you to celebrate the Grand Opening of Porter’s Place and Dunbar Tower, two new developments honoring the legacy of the historic Black neighborhood on West Side. Attendees can explore Dunbar Tower’s new affordable homes and tour Porter’s Place, a cultural gathering space designed for storytelling, art, and community connection. Throughout the event, guests can enjoy free food trucks, Kid Zone activities, creative installations, and story stations led by community members. Self‑guided building tours will be available, with onsite experts sharing history and design details. At 5:00 PM, hear community remarks from residents, partners, and AAHC leadership as we mark this important milestone for the neighborhood. This celebration is open to all , neighbors, families, students, partners, and anyone interested in learning more about these new spaces and the community they serve.
