Ali Affleck (Sco/USA) x Amanda Lee Swingtet

Live band social with Scottish-American jazz vocalist Ali Affleck, Dance taster class, Jazz history talk and some spooky tunes! This October, we are thrilled to bring you a very special live band social with the Amanda Lee Swingtet featuring the amazing Ali Affleck all the way from Scotland! Ali is a veteran performer at swing dance events across the world and we are thrilled to have her in Singapore for the first time as part of her Asia tour (including Australia, Osaka Lindy Fest, Jeju Swing Camp)! Ali is also a historian and we are excited to have her give a talk on early jazz and blues history. For those who don't know how to dance, we will be having Jazz Inc teach a taster class where we learn some steps to groove to this music! The band will play a variety of tempos and grooves throughout the night and in the spirit of Halloween, they will of course be playing some tunes befitting the occasion... come to find out more! ;) Date: Saturday, 31 Oct 2026 Venue: Jazz Loft, BluJaz level 3 Programme: 7pm Doors open 720-750pm Dance Taster class by Jazz Inc 750-820pm Early Jazz and Blues History Talk by Ali Affleck 820-910pm Live band set 1 910-925pm DJ music by DJ Sinclair 925-1015pm Live band Set 2 Band line up: Ali Affleck, vocals Amanda Lee, piano Leo Jeoh, trombones Ethan Seow, double bass Audrey Tang, drums Theme / dress code: Black and White Tickets: $25 + eventbrite fee Limited tickets ($30) at the door.
