Full description from organizerShow less
Join TSPP’s Open House to understand the human gap and human advantage—and how helping others can change you, too. When someone is struggling, where do we begin? Do we look at their behaviour, the experiences they carry, or the environment around them? There is often a gap between where people are and where they could be. At The School of Positive Psychology’s Open House, we will explore that gap through conversations, activities and stories that reveal different ways of understanding human change. Join Stephen Lew, Jana Dawson, Nicole Glisson, Chris Galea and Eliza Han, and discover which questions and pathways speak to you. What You’ll Gain: • Insight from experts: Hear how professionals make sense of the questions they encounter in their work. • Psychology in action: Experience conversations and activities that connect ideas to everyday life. • A clearer direction: Compare five areas of psychology and speak with our team about possible learning pathways. Highlights of the Open House • Pioneering Keynotes: Hear from expert faculty, practitioners, and industry leaders. • Alumni Stories: Discover real-world career transition journeys from our graduates. • Interactive Q&A Sessions: Experience live demonstrations and strength assessments. • Experiential Art Therapy: Explore thoughts and emotions through a guided creative activity. • 1-on-1 Academic Consultation: Speak directly with consultants to build your learning path. Questions You Will Explore Our journey moves through five areas of psychology: • The Gap: Where do we begin? — Child Psychology • Understand and Shift: What are we carrying? — Psychotherapy and Counselling • Understand and Shift: What surrounds us? — Organisational Psychology • See Possibility: What does it mean to flourish? — Positive Psychology • Move: What will we do next? — Coaching Psychology Who Is It For? This Open House is for anyone who: • Is curious about why people think, feel and behave as they do • Wants to support children, individuals, teams or communities • Is considering a new direction in psychology or a related field • Wants to explore different learning pathways before deciding what comes next • Has a question about human growth, wellbeing or change Come with a question. Leave with a broader view of what could be possible. The human advantage isn’t that we have no gaps. It’s that we can learn to cross them.
