Repeated Encounters Chapter 2: A Halloween Special

A recurring mahjong social where familiar faces, meaningful conversations, and new connections emerge over time. Repeated Encounters is back with Chapter 2 for our annual Halloween Mahjong, this time with the theme of Fate vs Choice. Think Tarot meets Mahjong. 🔮🀄️ Some cards are drawn, some are chosen. You don't choose the tiles you're dealt, the people you encounter, or everything that comes your way. But you choose what to keep, what to let go, and how you play your hand. This Halloween, we're leaving a little to fate. And at Repeated Encounters, you don't always choose who you encounter — but you can choose what you do with each encounter. :) Come dressed up — even a little — for a head start at our traditional Halloween Mahjong Bingo. 🎃 PROGRAMME FOR CHAPTER 2 🀄️ Mahjong Games An evening of Singapore Mahjong with new and familiar faces. 🔮 Fate vs Choice Round 1: Fate — draw a tarot card and let fate decide your tablemates. Round 2: Choice — choose your table based on how chill (or competitive 👀) you want your games to be. 🎃 Halloween Mahjong Bingo Cross off boxes as you perform certain moves at the table. It’s your choice whether you want to win at mahjong, win at Mahjong Bingo… or attempt both. 🍕 Light Bites We’ll be serving light bites after 6:30 PM — this time, we’re thinking pizza! ⚡️ LYRA Energy Drink Enjoy a sponsored LYRA energy drink, made with natural caffeine, L-theanine and ginseng for calm, sustained focus. Zero sugar. 🎟️ Repeated Encounters Lanyard Been to Repeated Encounters before? Remember to bring your lanyard! All first-timers will receive one. 📍 First Encounter Pin Joining us for the first time? Our Concept: Repeated Encounters is a recurring Singapore Mahjong-centred social gathering that brings people together through play, conversation, and the simple magic of seeing familiar faces again. Rather than a networking event or singles mixer, it is designed as an emotionally safe, low-pressure space where connections can unfold naturally through shared tables, recurring familiarity, and meaningful interactions over time. Core Philosophy: We believe some encounters are not meant to be defined too quickly, and it is important in allowing them to unfold slowly and naturally. Please note that we maintain a strict no-gambling policy. No money or prizes will be involved in the games. About Mahjong Lah: Founded in 2019, Mahjong Lah is a Singapore-based community and experience brand that brings people together through mahjong. Having introduced thousands of participants to the game through classes, social events, and corporate programmes, Mahjong Lah believes that the mahjong table is a space where conversations and stories can be shared. Through Repeated Encounters, we create a welcoming space for meaningful conversations, familiar faces, and connections that unfold naturally over time. About Gravity by Noir Studio: Gravity is Noir Collective's wellness and lifestyle space, created to bring people together through movement, creativity, and meaningful shared experiences.
