From science and technology to business, culture, and human experience, our speakers reveal how transformation happens when and where different worlds meet. Speaker Highlights Julien Cayla, Business Anthropologist Why do some moments leave us feeling more alive than others? Linfa Wang, Batman in Science Are bats really the villains we've made them out to be? Linfa Wang explores how the worlds of wildlife, human activity, and medical science inter[sect] to reshape our understanding of pandemics. By challenging misconceptions and drawing inspiration from nature, his work reveals how crossing disciplinary boundaries can unlock new possibilities for global health. Marcus Tan, Listener to the Hidden Life of Places What if the way we experience a city isn't shaped by what we see, but by what we hear? Marcus Tan explores where theatre, sound, culture, and technology intersect, and how we inter[act] with these sonic landscapes to shape our memories, identities, and sense of belonging. Gemma Calvert, Explorer of the Evolving Brain Who shapes the way we think? You or your technology? Professor Gemma Calvert explores how neuroscience, psychology, and digital innovation converge to reveal the ways social media, short-form content, and AI are rewiring our brains. By learning to inter[rupt] these invisible influences, we can reclaim our focus in an increasingly connected world. Tysha Khan, A body, Possessed Tysha Khan is an artistic force whose practice centres around distilling truth and finding simple ways to present it in order to facilitate understanding. Known for her versatile acting and powerful writing, her career defies easy categorisation, spanning across multiple disciplines, languages, and creative media. Her recent notable works include being the lead actor and Malay dialogue writer for BUAH (Fruit), an Oscar-qualifying short film by Jen Nee Lim, which won Best of Festival Award (32nd Palm Springs International Short Film Festival 2026). Her performance in the film also clinched her the Best Performance in Southeast Asian Short Film Competition at the Singapore International Film Festival 2025. Registration opens at 1:30 PM, and we highly recommend arriving early. Before the talks begin at 3:00 PM, you'll have the chance to explore our interactive partner booths, enjoy free ice cream, collect exclusive goodies (while stocks last), play fun games, and connect with fellow attendees. Don't miss out on everything happening in the foyer before the main event! Event check-in commences at 1:30 PM, followed by the event's official start at 3:00 PM, by which time the entrance doors will be closed and will only open between the talks. Buffet dinner will be served after the event, giving you the opportunity to connect with fellow attendees, speakers, and partners.
