During the tour, you will learn how general waste that cannot be recycled is brought to the plant, where it is incinerated under controlled conditions to reduce its volume and generate electricity. You will hear about the role of Singapore's incineration plants in extending the lifespan of Semakau Landfill, and how high environmental and public health standards are maintained through emissions control and monitoring. Guides will also highlight the importance of waste reduction at source, and how individual habits such as reducing disposables, recycling right and supporting product stewardship complement Singapore's Waste-to-Energy infrastructure. Terms and conditions • Minimum age requirement for visitors is 12 years old and accompanied by adults. • This tour is for all Singapore citizens, permanent residents, and ICA-approved or MOM-approved passes with a valid FIN number, including holders of employment pass, student pass, work permit or dependent pass. By purchasing a ticket under this category, you hereby (a) declare that you are a resident, and (b) acknowledge and agree that we may conduct verification checks in accordance with Personal Data Protection Policy. • All participants must wear covered shoes and long trousers. Loose clothing, long accessories and open footwear such as slippers or sandals are not permitted. • Photography and videography are NOT allowed in all areas of the plant. • Participants are required to present identification at registration. • The tour route may involve stairs, grated platforms, elevated walkways and outdoor areas subject to heat, noise and odours. Participants should consider their own health and comfort before registering. • Participants must follow the instructions of guides and plant staff, keep within marked walkways and observation points, and must not touch any equipment or controls. • As TuasOne WTE Plant is an operational worksite, the organiser and host facility reserve the right to modify or cancel the tour in the event of adverse weather, security alerts, maintenance works or other operational needs. • By registering, participants acknowledge that they are joining at their own risk, agree to follow all instructions from the organiser and host facilities, and consent to the use of photographs taken during the event for non-commercial publicity of Clean & Green Singapore activities, unless they inform the organiser otherwise in advance. Refunds and Cancellations All ticket fees paid are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.
