A workshop to help you intentionally close last year, set meaningful intentions and create a personal vision board for the New Year 2027. ✨✨✨ ENTERING THE NEW LUNAR YEAR WITH A CLEAR VISION ✨✨✨ As we move into the Lunar New Year, this moment offers a valuable opportunity to pause and intentionally reconnect with direction and purpose. Rather than letting this transition pass unnoticed, join a dedicated in-person session at LaMatu to support conscious reflection, intentional alignment, and forward planning. LaMatu is hosting a small gathering to do some year-end closing as well as intention setting rituals. This workshop is designed to help you intentionally close the previous phase and clarify your goals for the coming year. This workshop, organised by LaMatu in Amsterdam, is designed to help you intentionally close the previous year, and set meaningful goals and intentions for the coming year. The session combines structured reflection with practical exercises, including a year-review, intention setting, guided journaling, small-group dialogue, and visual mapping by means of creating personal visualisation boards. By the end of the workshop, you will leave with renewed clarity, and your personal vision board to guide their focus throughout the coming year — grounded, intentional, and ready to start the new year with positive momentum. This transition period calls for conscious attention. Preparing for a periods of strong momentum requires discernment. Energy without direction can lead to fragmentation or exhaustion. This makes conscious decisions, inner clarity and alignment essential. Setting clear intentions, choosing focus deliberately will be key to sustaining progress throughout the year. This workshop was created to support that process: helping participants clarify what kind of life they want to design and create in the coming year, and intentionally plant the seeds of everything that you want to manifest in coming year. ✨ YEAR-END CLOSING PRACTICE Before looking ahead, you will be invited to consciously and intentionally close the year that is coming to an end. This part of the workshop focuses on a guided year-review through self-journaling exercises designed to help you integrate experiences, acknowledge growth, and gently let go of what no longer serves you. Through carefully curated reflection prompts, you will review the past year with compassion and perspective — recognising milestones, lessons learned, challenges navigated, and moments of pride. Rather than analysing or judging, this process emphasises appreciation, meaning-making, and inner completion. The exercises are structured yet spacious, allowing you to work at your own pace in silence, supported by a calm and contained environment. This reflective pause helps create emotional and mental closure, so you do not carry unfinished narratives into the new year. Participants of the previous editions experienced this year-end review as grounding, uplifting, and unexpectedly empowering. By consciously acknowledging what has been, you create space for clarity, gratitude, and renewed energy — laying a strong foundation for intention setting and forward momentum. This reflective closing ritual ensures that the transition into the new year is not rushed, but honoured — allowing you to step forward feeling aligned, and ready for what is next. ✨ INTENTION SETTING RITUAL You will be guided to define some positive intentions for the year ahead. You will write these intentions on a piece of wax paper, which can be folded and carefully lit like a candle. This beautiful ritual marks the start of a new year, a transition grounded in intentional choice. You will bring positive, clearly articulated intentions into the New Year, before it kicks in with its forward motion. ✨ VISION BOARD CREATION You will create a physical visualisation board using magazines, images, words, glue, and scissors. This mindful process will help you translate your goals and intentions into visible direction, connecting dreams and ideas in a tangible way. Each participant will create their dream collage landscape. This hands-on, mindfulness activity invites you to reconnect with your creativity, slow down and work with attention and presence, turning the exercise into a form of applied mindfulness. By selecting images and words intuitively as well as deliberately, you may notice patterns, themes, or desires emerging that reflect what your subconscious is drawn to. Bringing these elements to the surface and creating a vision board allows you to visualise what truly matters to you — often beyond what is easy to articulate in words. The finished moodboard will serve as a visual anchor for the year ahead: a tangible reference that supports focus, clarity, and aligned decision-making long after the workshop has ended. You will leave the workshop with a personal visual reference that supports your intentions for the year ahead. 🕚 TIMING The event starts at 11:11 with a lunch break and will take up to 7 hours. It is best to set some quiet time for yourself in the evening and not to plan other social engagements in the evening directly after the event.
