Through intimate, unspectacular stories, the documentary asks how technological development can be guided so that it reflects our real desires, needs, and visions of the future. The protagonists’ experiences offer critical insights that help steer this process more consciously, highlighting both opportunities and risks. The final message to the viewer is clear: if we want AI to truly reflect our personal and collective needs, we must act now, each in our own way. Bio: Maria Luce Lupetti is an Assistant Professor in Design at the Department of Architecture and Design at Politecnico di Torino where she also co-leads POEL (Possible Entanglements Lab), a research group dedicated to investigating how people and technologies can co-shape one another, and how design can help envision desirable configurations. She is the PI of PARJAI “Participatory Design Justice for Ethical AI Transitions”, a three-year project funded by the Italian Ministry of Education and Research, and Partner Investigator at ARC Centre of Excellence for Quality Work in the Digital Age. She also serves as Exhibit X section editor for ACM Interactions Mag.
