Explore how taste travels: Design dialogue on food systems, memory, and diaspora through collective visual mapping. What makes a dish truly authentic? Living away from home, how do we recreate the food of our memories? When trade routes shift and supply chains break, can a familiar taste survive in a distant soil? This hands-on workshop invites you to reflect on the ingredients that define your favorite dishes, questioning what happens to authentic flavors when they are displaced. Through visual mapping and collective conversation, we will explore where our food comes from and whether authenticity lives in rigid recipes or adaptive traditions. Can local substitutes keep a culinary memory alive — or does adaptation create something entirely new? Her practice combines field research-driven visual reportage, analysing the underlying mechanisms that shape us and our societies. Food as the core theme - she focuses on the malleability and fluidity of tradition, achieving through sketches on production, habits, costumes, and identity. As a visual narrator, ShiSoH relies on a strong base in drawings and hands-on making. Her book <주홍색 별들의 시간> (The Time of Orange Stars) (2025) captures her seamless blend of storytelling and research with a touch of realistic oneirism.
