Macramé Course for Kids – Level 1

What will children learn? During the six sessions, children will learn how to: • Recognise different types of macramé cord • Take the right measurements for a project • Make 3–4 essential macramé knots • Combine different knots and techniques • Follow the steps of a simple macramé project • Create their own finished pieces with increasing independence The activities and level of guidance will be adapted to the child's age and ability. More than just a craft Macramé is a wonderful hands-on activity that encourages children to slow down, concentrate and create something with their own hands. Along the way, children can develop: • Focus and patience • Fine motor skills • Creativity • Confidence • Independence The course is suitable for both boys and girls, with different project possibilities available for each age group. By the end of the course, every child will take home one or more finished macramé creations they made themselves. Course details Ages: 6–8 & 9–12 Languages: Arabic & English Day: Mondays Time: 18:45–19:45 Location: El Warsha, Eindhoven Course dates 14 & 28 September 12 & 26 October 9 & 23 November The course consists of 6 sessions in total. No previous macramé experience is needed. The course is designed especially for children who are curious about crafts and would like to learn a creative skill in a relaxed and encouraging environment.
