Led by acclaimed jazz pianist Ben Fernandez, A Jazzy Christmas brings together a wonderful collection of musicians and musical traditions to celebrate this special time of year. Featuring Ben's Jazz Band, the Shine Saxophone Quartet, choirs, and a special performance on Vera, our magnificent 1904 pipe organ, this promises to be a Christmas concert with something for everyone. From toe-tapping jazz and glorious choral harmonies to the rich, majestic sound of Vera, enjoy much-loved Christmas music, favourite carols and a few festive surprises. Everyone is invited to join in the Christmas carols. And what a setting. As the afternoon sunlight streams through the magnificent leadlight windows of the Great Hall, filling the space with colour and warmth, the music comes alive in the extraordinary acoustics of this beautiful heritage building.
