Book launch (and breakfast) with David Irving

Running a business can be lonely. The decisions are yours, the responsibility is yours, and often there's no one else in the room who quite understands the weight of it. David Irving has spent more than 25 years working alongside Kiwi owner-managers. As co-founder of The Icehouse, he's seen what it takes to build a business, and what it takes out of the people who run them. His new book, Alone: Responsibility of Ownership and Capability of Leadership, brings that experience together. Part memoir, part challenge, part championing of the owner-manager, Alone covers three things: the responsibility of owning a business, the capability it takes to lead one, and making room for a life outside it. Join us for breakfast to celebrate the launch and hear from David himself. Your ticket includes: • A light breakfast • A signed copy of Alone (RRP $30) to take home • David on the book, the ideas behind it, and what he's learned from 25 years with Kiwi businesses When: Wednesday, 25 November | 7am – 9am Who should come: Business owners, managers and leaders. Anyone who carries the responsibility of a business, or works alongside someone who does. Places are limited.
