Full description from organizer

Beyond the CV – Positioning Yourself in the NZ Job Market with Yvonne You may have strong qualifications and years of professional experience. But does your CV, LinkedIn profile and professional presence make it easy for a New Zealand employer to understand the value you bring? For this ConnectHer session, we’re joined by Yvonne Abuyabor, an experienced talent acquisition and recruitment professional who currently works with Westpac New Zealand and also brings experience in career coaching. Yvonne will take us behind the recruitment process and share practical insights into how experienced professionals can better position themselves in the New Zealand job market. What we’ll talk about • What makes a recruiter stop and look at a candidate • How recruiters assess professional and overseas experience • Communicating your value rather than simply listing responsibilities • Making your CV and LinkedIn presence work together • Building relationships with recruiters and professional networks • Common mistakes and missed opportunities during the job search This session will be particularly useful for migrant women with professional experience who are entering, re-entering or repositioning themselves in the New Zealand job market. What to expect 40 minutes — Yvonne’s insights & Q&A Bring your questions and hear directly from an experienced talent acquisition professional. 20 minutes — Small-group networking Meet other migrant women, exchange experiences and build new professional connections. ConnectHer sessions are intentionally small, with a maximum of 15 attendees, so everyone has the opportunity to participate and have meaningful conversations. ☕ Free to attend. Please grab your own coffee or drink on arrival.
