From Bach’s timeless beauty to the irresistible energy of the Beatles, this is an evening of music, memories and musical surprises. Two musician friends — jazz pianist Ben Fernandez and operatic tenor Patrick Coelho — reconnect in concert after 25 years, bringing together a wonderfully eclectic programme that moves effortlessly across genres and generations. The musicians Patrick Coelho — voice Patrick is an accomplished operatic tenor who regularly performs with musical theatre and opera companies in Wellington. He has performed with New Zealand Opera, Wellington Opera, Wellington Comic Opera and other leading musical theatre and opera companies. He has also appeared as a stage actor in productions including Sugu Pillay’s Serendipity and Gregor Cameron’s Saint Punch and Tell Me The Truth About Love. Patrick has performed as a soloist at Wellington’s Sacred Heart Cathedral and with the Marian Choir of I.C. Church in Mumbai. Ben Fernandez — piano Ben Fernandez is a classically trained jazz pianist, composer, arranger, producer and educator. He holds a Master of Music in Jazz Performance from the University of Auckland and has performed at concerts and events in more than 25 countries. An award-winning composer for jingles, television and film, Ben has released 11 albums of his music in New Zealand and teaches jazz improvisation in Auckland. Lady Larisa — voice An international jazz singer and songwriter, Lady Larisa has performed from Hollywood and Nashville to New Orleans’ legendary House of Blues and opened for Michael Bublé at the Mission Concert. With her smooth, soulful voice and magnetic stage presence, Larisa brings warmth, humour and glamour to every performance.
