Aerospace Discovery Day

Aerospace NZ's annual Summit brings together top scientists, engineers, and industry professionals at Te Pae Convention Centre during the 2026 school holidays, so Te Whai Ao - Dodd-Walls Centre's community engagement team are running a one-day workshop for space-curious kids right across the street! Developed for curious minds from 9-13 years old AND their guardians, the day will feature hands-on activities and challenges, q&a time with industry professionals and researchers, a specially-arranged trip to the Summit's exhibition hall, and more, all to inspire and inform about the wide variety of opportunities to work in this ever-expanding field.... because this is one area where the sky is not the limit. Details: • Participants must have a grownup accompanying them • Each grownup must pay to register, but can register up to 3 young people for free - and the grownup is strongly encouraged to participate! • Please include names and ages for all attendees for Aerospace Summit health and safety. • Catering is not provided, please bring morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea for everyone in your group.
