Stereopurrs Live with Tupinikeen Samba Club

Stereopurrs are embarking on a journey of self discovery, writing new original music, bringing it to the people and asking "Are we worthy?". "Poolside and Hipster Assassins are a few of my influences" says guitarist Chris Dabinett. "Expect funky disco-like grooves infused with some jazz soloing, lots of arrangement" "I want people to feel like dancing and also feel like listening, dancening if you will" Bassist Charlotte Crone and percussionist Ricardo Stuani could not be reached for comment. Joining Stereopurrs playing up first is Ōtautahi’s traditional samba group Tupinikeen Samba Club, bringing Brazil’s vibrant rhythms to Christchurch with authentic instruments like pandeiro, tamborim and cavaquinho, fostering community, culture and celebration. 03 SESSIONS // Original and improvised music from Ōtautahi and beyond. $20 - Early Bird & 03 Members / Students with I.D. $25 - Presale General Admission $30 - Door Sales Presale via Humanitix or cash/EFTPOS on the door 03 Memberships are available at ko-fi.com/03sessions
