The 2010/11 Canterbury earthquakes transformed the eastern suburbs of Christchurch, leading to the creation of the residential red zone along the Ōtākaro Avon River. Dave Little, CCC Manager of the Residential Red Zone will trace that history - from the disaster and the difficult decisions that followed, to the ambitious regeneration now reshaping the corridor into a place of ecological restoration, flood resilience, and new open space for the city.
