The session will cover: • A brief market and economic update, so attendees leave with a current view of what is happening in markets • Key investing reminders, including the value of a long term approach and the risks of chasing the latest “hot” trend • Time in the market, vs timing the market. Why trying to time the market is rarely a winning strategy, with some real world examples • The power of compounding over time, and why starting early makes such a difference (including through KiwiSaver) • A short introduction to Forsyth Barr and how they support a range of clients, from those with emerging wealth, through to people who have sold a business or property, and on to families, trusts and charitable organisations This will be an educational and interactive session, with plenty of opportunity for questions.
