But we are coming back to the understanding that fermenting is much more than a preservation technique. Fermenting brings food to life. The good bacteria within replenish and diversify our gut microbiome in a way that supplements can’t. And the piece that is so incredible about homemade ferments is that we can create these potent superfoods with basic equipment and for the simple cost of the vegetable and salt. Power to the people! This session will demystify the ancient art of fermentation so you are confident to make and devour your ferments at home. We will cover: • The process of fermenting so you can confidently interpret what is happening at each stage • Negotiables and non-negotiables so you feel safe eating your ferments • Lots of recipe adaptations to encourage play! • Suggestions of how to incorporate these superfoods into your daily diet Our class includes printed recipes and taste testers.
