During a tour of the N.Z. Marine Studies Centre at Portobello, connect with your coast, meet local marine species in our touch tanks, and discover what makes them special. Tour the Portobello Marine Lab's research and teaching facilities and glimpse what it is like to study Marine Science at the University of Otago. Children 2yrs and under are free but please specify numbers in your ticket registration.

All children must be accompanied by a paying adult. Most of the site is accessible via wheelchair or stroller. As a working marine lab, there is some uneven ground and potentially wet surfaces to be aware of. Please note any accessibility or mobility needs in your registration so we can better cater the tour for your needs.
