MTS Audition Skills Workshop

What are they thinking on the other side of the table? Explore musical theatre auditions from the creative team’s perspective. You’ve prepared your song. But when you walk into the audition room, what are the people behind the table actually looking for? Join us for a practical evening exploring musical theatre auditions from the creative team’s perspective. We’ll look at how your preparation and the choices you make in the room can help the panel see what you could bring to their production. See the difference a small choice can make We’ll put those ideas into practice through live audition coaching. Volunteers can work on their audition in the room, while everyone gets to see and hear the effect of trying something differently. You’re welcome to take part or simply watch and learn. Bring the questions you’ve been sitting on, from choosing what to sing to what it means when the panel asks you to try something another way. This is a chance to understand more about the process and bring some enjoyment back into it. No pressure to perform. You can learn a lot just by being in the room.
