Where everyday dogs become legends! ​ Barkfest Dog Dash is heading to Tauranga in 2026 and is proudly supported by Tauranga Vets. ​ This is a 50m (ish) sprint like no other – your dog dashes from one human to another. It’s pure joy, a touch of chaos, and a whole lot of fun for both pups and their people. ​ Categories include: • Sausage Sprint – For the low-riding, long-bodied legends • Tiny Trotters – Small dogs under ~7kg • Mighty Middies – Medium-sized movers 7-10kg • Big Softies – For the gentle giants with a need for speed • Leggy Legends – Long-legged Lopers Each Dog entered must be accompanied by two confident and responsible humans aged 10 or over (one is at the start and one is at the finish) and you need to agree and comply with the entry conditions here. Entry Terms and Conditions should be read carefully. Your dog must be highly socialised, have the appropriate temperature to safely enjoy this environment, regularly participant in off-lead multi dog environments and have a strong recall. ​ Depending on the number of entrants, there may be straight finals or heats and finals. Top 3 in each final receive a prize. ​
