Cook Around the World - 150th Celebration Join us at Happiness House as we celebrate 150 years of Queenstown Library by baking shortbread together! Come along for some tasty treats inspired by recipes from the past, good company and a cuppa. ☕ 📅 Wed 25 Nov 🕥 10:30am to 12:30pm 📍 Happiness House, 4 Park Street 💛 Free, all welcome (teens, adults and seniors) ✍️ Limited space, booking required via the library link What to expect From 10am – 12pm we will cook together, learning how to make shortbread! This is a shared experience, so expect to get involved chopping, cooking, chatting, and yes, tidying up together too. From 12pm – 12.30pm we will sit down to enjoy the food we have made and spend time connecting. A shared cooking experience Cook Around the World is not a cooking class you watch, it is one you take part in. It is about cultural exchange, meeting new people, sharing stories, and building whanaungatanga (relationships) through food. You do not need to be an experienced cook, just open to joining in and giving things a go. Tickets This session is open to first timers and returning guests. Please select the ticket that best matches you when booking. First timer tickets go live on the Monday a week before and Returning guest tickets go live the Wednesday a week before. Everyone welcome Whether you come on your own or with a friend, you will be welcomed into a relaxed, friendly space where community cooks together. Nau mai, haere mai. We look forward to cooking with you.
