Orchesis unfolds as a journey through time and space, from Seeds, representing life and possibility, through earth, ancestry, survival, culture, reflection and imagination, before expanding into future beings and worlds unknown. The journey ends in the Universe, vast, limitless and full of possibility, bringing the story full circle from one tiny beginning to something infinite. At its heart, QTC is about community, giving people of all backgrounds and experience levels a place to dance, grow in confidence, form friendships and experience the joy of performing. The name comes from the Ancient Greek Órchēsis, meaning dance or the act of dancing - a fitting name for a showcase celebrating movement, expression and connection.
