Tabletop Game Playtest - Yáng by Tablecraft Games

Yáng is a cooperative deckbuilding RPG card game about sheep-like spirits searching for a promised land, one campfire at a time. We'd love your help to test it! In this world, the gods have brought peace to the world, and with it, a rumour of a land beyond the old forest set aside for the Yáng. You'll play a small flock of Yáng from different factions, travelling together in search of it. Each night, the flock makes camp and a creature joins you by the fire. Using a deck of cards you've drafted yourself, you'll decide together how to treat your guests. Do you share what you have, pass on your traditions or press them for news? Every card you play comes with a moment of roleplay, where you say what your Yáng actually does. By dawn, you might part as strangers, friends or kin, and the creatures who come to trust you may share what they know about the road ahead. There's no fighting and no way to lose. You'll always arrive somewhere, but who the flock becomes along the way shapes the ending you reach. Grazing table provided and we'll dish out prizes for a range of testing achievements (first to find a typo, highest scoring table etc). A full game might take about 1.5 hours. We think you'll like this game if you enjoy card games (TCGs), some light improvisation (like D&D), and lore-rich worlds. No experience needed. The game is still in development, so expect some rough edges. Your input and feedback will help shape how we evolve this game before its launch in 2027.
