Girls' Overnight Hiking Adventure — Waitawheta Hut Gals Who Hike! Join us for a girls' overnight hiking adventure in the beautiful Kaimai Mamaku Forest Park! This trip is all about getting outdoors, connecting with like-minded women, enjoying a hut stay and spending a night surrounded by nature. Trip details • Dates: Friday 11 – Saturday 12 December 2026 • Departure: 2:00 pm from Mount Maunganui • Return: Saturday 1pm (optional cafe stop) • Destination: Waitawheta Hut, Kaimai Mamaku Forest Park What's included • Your very own adventure planner! - I’ve got you sorted! • Waitawheta Hut ticket - one night at the hut • Dinner - a shared meal on Friday evening • Breakfast - breakfast on Saturday morning • Supplies - Gas, oil, candles, fire starters, PLB, First Aid etc. • Activities - fun, relaxed activities to help you get to know each other and build meaningful connections. What you'll need Participants must bring suitable hiking footwear, a backpack, weather-appropriate clothing, a sleeping bag, water, personal toiletries and other essential overnight hiking gear. This trip involves 2-3 hours of walking on a backcountry track, so participants should be prepared for uneven terrain and changing weather conditions. The track is relatively flat but does include a couple of river crossings so medium fitness is required. PLEASE NOTE : Tickets are non-refundable, so please make sure you're able to join us before booking! As we'll be heading into the great outdoors, safety comes first. If weather conditions mean we need to postpone, your ticket will automatically transfer to the new date. Tickets will remain non-refundable.
