Iara is a Brazilian family band featuring Paulo Brayner on guitar, Claudia on lead vocals and percussion, and Davi on drums — with all three adding vocals to the mix. Having called New Zealand home for more than 10 years, the band was born from a love of their homeland and a desire to share Brazil's extraordinary musical heritage. Drawing on the sounds of Samba, Forró, Baião and Brazilian Jazz, Iara's music is filled with rhythm, passion, colour, stories and a wonderful love of life.
