In Person: Boo Bags, Kindness Treats and Donation Drive

Children will learn about food insecurity and assemble treat bags for neighbors who utilize the Worthington Resource Pantry. Who this In Person Event is for: Ages 4-12. Adult caregivers are required to accompany child participants. Siblings of participants outside this age range are welcome but may find the event less meaningful and fulfilling. What you’ll be doing: Hocus pocus, kindness is our focus! Join Seeds of Caring as we partner with Worthington Resource Pantry to support their mission of connecting neighbors to healthy food, helpful resources, and one another. Families will learn about food insecurity in our community and discover how the pantry helps meet both everyday and unexpected needs. Participants will tour the pantry, engage in hands-on reflection activities that build empathy, assemble treat bags for the fall season, and help with other hands-on tasks in the pantry. Specific instructions: All supplies will be provided. Families are asked to collect food donations and bring them to Worthington Resource Pantry. We will provide a flyer in your confirmation email to help your child conduct a neighborhood food drive. Why you'll be asked to pay a supply fee and donate: On the next page, you'll be asked to pay a fee to offset supply costs for this event. These fees are non-refundable. If you have to cancel your registration later, please know that your fee will go toward our efforts to create more meaningful service-focused programs for kids. Every time we're able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it's with the help of supporters like you. Please consider making a generous gift to help us continue to empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds. We never want supply fees to prevent someone from participating in a Seeds of Caring project.
