An evening dedicated to the legacy of Mahmoud Darwish

The French Institute of Qatar, the French Embassy of France in Qatar and Msheireb Museums invite you to Poetry Day, an evening celebrating the work and legacy of renowned Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish through poetry and cinema. His work, recognized as one of the most significant in contemporary Arabic poetry, holds a prominent place in the world's literary heritage. 📅 27 September 2026, at 7:30 PM 📍 Bin Jelmood House, Msheireb Museums The program will feature a screening of “An Orange from Jaffa” by Palestinian director Mohammed Al-Mughanni, followed by a panel discussion exploring the theme "the successors of Mahmoud Darwish from an artistic, linguistic and cinematographic perspectives". Organized in collaboration with the Institut du Monde Arabe and Centre Pompidou.
