Tribute to Chet Baker Feat. Riccardo Del Fra

Trion beskriver sitt projekt på följande vis: Riccardo Del Fra was Chet Baker's bassist for eight years. Here, he brings together a trio that offers a reading of the musical and poeAc world of this great arAst. Alexander Lövmark is an enchanAng singer with a fascinaAng phrasing, as delicate as it is profound. He is also a talented pianist. Carl Svensson is a refined guitarist with a personal creaAve approach and a subtle harmonic savoir-faire. The essenAal standards interpreted by the trio evoke a universe rich in dreams and romance, light and magneAc. They become the terrain for a musical game where lyricism and restraint coexist with virtuosity and fantasy. When you hear this trio play, you're listening to a story. And every Ame, it's a new story. ................... Riccardo Del Fra, double bass player, composer and arranger, was born in Rome and has lived in Paris since the 1980s. He played, toured and recorded with Chet Baker for almost nine years. "Chet played with many musicians in Europe. Our collaboraAon has lasted over the years, parAcularly as a trio, and traces of it remain in today's famous recordings such as "Mr.B", "Chet sings again", "Live in London at the Ronnie ScoU" and Bertrand Fèvre's film "Chet's Romance". Riccardo has played all over the world with numerous American and European musicians, a list too long to enumerate. Since the 1990s, he has been a very acAve composer and leader. "Notes are characters, like in a film, a play or a novel. Every musical gesture must have a deep meaning, be signified and meaningful, otherwise silence is preferable".
