Adam Seid Tahir: and from their hair, unending forest

Adam Seid Tahir examines these attributions and draws parallels to the marginalization of Black people. At the center is the figure of Ymir, an intersex being who, according to myth, was murdered and from whose body the world emerged. Through the geography of death, afterlife, and the non-linearity of time, the stage becomes a world of transformation: a place where the body becomes weather, where hair becomes unending forests, where anger, sadness, and grief intertwine. “and from their hair, unending forest” invites the audience into an atmospheric world of myth and legend.
