Full description from organizer

VOICE OF UKRAINE proudly presents Slaktkyrkan Sunday 08 November 18:00 Med stöd från Stockholms stad OLYA POLYAKOVA Ukrainian Queen of the Night in Stockholm: premiere in Sweden for Olya Polyakova If you must choose just one Ukrainian concert to see live 2026, it should undoubtedly be Olya Polyakova, a larger-than-life pop diva whose music leaves no one indifferent. Her career spans generations, genres, and borders the way only a few can manage. Today, the brightest star of the Ukrainian pop scene, the Queen of the Night, beloved since the 2000s, is finally bringing to Stockholm her three-octave opera vocal range, dazzling style, and signature high heels, along with the trademark humor that disarms audiences around the world. Since the start of russia's full-scale invasion, Polyakova has been deeply involved in charity work: she pulled in donations for drones for the Ukrainian army, donated an ambulance to frontline military medics and raised six-digits sums in euros for tactical medicine and evacuation vehicles for the military. Each of Polyakova's main hits has been lovingly re-recorded in Ukrainian. She certainly sings in English as well: after collaborations with the famous Swedish producer Anders Hansson (ABBA’s Agnetha Fältskog, Cher, Alcazar, Agnes) and Sweden's pop royalty Army of Lovers, in 2026 she’s recording an album in London. For Swedes who haven't heard of Polyakova yet: imagine the drama of ABBA, the glamour of Eurovision, and the wit of a true comedian — all packed into one 180-centimeter-tall woman who once conquered the runways of Paris and Milan, until she decided the runway was too quiet for her. For Ukrainians who know every word by heart: yes, she's bringing the hits, the humor, and the soul — live, loud, and finally on Swedish soil. We promise: with Olya Polyakova in charge, this will be your hottest November weekend ever! SPECIAL GUESTS: VADYM KRASNOOKY / MAD HEADS "Nadiya Ye" ("Hope Exists"), "A Ya Na Mori" ("And I'm at the Sea") – these songs by Vadym KRASNOOKY are known in every corner of Ukraine and far beyond its borders: they have long become national hits. Vadym is the permanent leader of MAD HEADS, a legendary Ukrainian rock band he founded in 1991 – a peer of Ukrainian independence itself. KRASNOOKY and MAD HEADS have played over 1,000 concerts in Ukraine, all over Europe, the US and Canada. His songs are full of light, optimism, and positive vibrations. KRASNOOKY is also known for his fiery party rock versions of Ukrainian folk songs. KRASNOOKY and MAD HEADS are one of the most famous Ukrainian rock projects, a true legend. Several generations of listeners have grown up on their music. It has absorbed elements of ska, reggae, rockabilly, and many other fascinating musical styles, while Ukrainian flavor and personal charisma have made the sound unique on both the domestic and international stage. MAD HEADS have performed on the biggest festive stages, at the revolutionary Maidans, and in the ATO combat zone. Vadim KRASNOOKY was in Ukraine when the full-scale invasion began and has been actively supporting the country ever since — volunteering at the Media Center Ukraine and giving charity concerts to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since 2024, he has been running his charity across Canada, the US, and EU countries: more than 100 concerts have taken place so far, with the funds raised — including over 130,000 euros in 2025 — going to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Fun fact: The song "A Ya Na Mori" has been set as a ringtone by over 2,000,000 Ukrainian phone subscribers. The total number of views of all KRASNOOKY and MAD HEADS songs on YouTube exceeds 60 million. His bright, loud, and joyful concerts are always a celebration! MAVKA MAVKA is exactly what you'd expect from Ukrainian music – and sooo much more! Actress Iryna Lazer and composer Oleksiy Mikriukov craft soft, sophisticated ethno-folk themes, weaving electro and ambient textures into ethnic patterns. In Ukrainian mythology, Mavka is a long-haired "Soul of the Forest," often depicted as a seductive female spirit who lures men to their death. Since launching their career in 2013, MAVKA has collaborated with kindred spirits across theatre, film, and dance, both in Ukraine and internationally. Mavka has created soundtracks for theatrical productions at renowned theatres such as Kyiv Academic Young Theatre, Manchester's Royal Exchange Theatre, and many more. VOICE OF UKRAINE Olya Polyakova with her big solo concert headlines Voice of Ukraine — the third edition of the club festival that started in Stockholm in 2023 as an expression of solidarity with Ukraine.
