2026 Jeonbuk GLX & University Demo Day

Jeollabuk-do Province, Jeonbuk National University, and PEN Ventures Korea are bringing eight companies to SWITCH 2026 in Singapore: six startups from the Jeonbuk GLX global accelerating program, and two deep-tech ventures selected through Jeonbuk National University's technology transfer accelerator. The lineup spans mobility, battery recycling, identity verification, fintech, sustainable materials, blockchain, cell therapy, and solar panel recycling. Below is an overview of each company and the founders behind them. [1:1 Business Meetup & Honorarium]We are inviting Singapore-based investors, VCs, CVCs, accelerators, and potential business partners to join our 1:1 Business Meetup with the participating startups. Participants who complete four 1:1 meetings with four different startups will receive an honorarium of KRW 300,000 as a token of appreciation for their time and contribution. Please include your name, organization, position, and the startups you are interested in meeting. 🚀 Jeonbuk GLX Startups 🛵 BC Mobility: Builds an FMS terminal and platform for delivery riders on two-wheelers. It verifies unpaid rider debts, enables remote engine lock for theft prevention, and lets riders start their bike from their phone. Seed stage. ₩320M raised, currently closing a ₩420M bridge round. 🔋 ALTeco: Recycles waste batteries (phones, laptops) into "black mass," sold to cathode-material makers. Currently the only Korean company doing this at scale. Also developing AI-based battery sorting and eco-friendly extraction tech. Seed stage. ₩500M raised, opening a Pre-A round targeting ₩1.5B. 🪪 Tomoarrow: Runs an identity-verification API for foreigners in Korea, letting overseas users authenticate without a Korean phone number (an alternative to KakaoPay/Naver certs). Seed stage. ~₩700M raised to date, including a TIPS R&D grant. Backers include SJ Investment Partners, PNP, and CNT Tech. 💱 Currency UNITed: Operates a peer-to-peer FX platform where individuals set their own exchange rates and trade directly, already integrated with banks (~₩30B in monthly transaction volume). Pre-A stage. ₩350M raised, currently raising toward a ₩1B round. ⛳ Coolbears: Eco-friendly textile company behind the golf-wear brand "Aven," holding certified sustainable-materials tech. Supplies both consumer and government customers. Series A in progress. ₩2.3B raised, with a ₩700M tranche closing in early September and another ₩1.8B under discussion (target ₩2.5B). 🗳️ Mystarchain: Provides a blockchain-based voting platform that prevents manipulation, used for audience voting at contests and competitions. Already has a Hong Kong entity set up for tax purposes. Pre-seed. No external funding raised yet. 🎓 Jeonbuk National University Deep Tech 🧬 DiaPLT (다이아피엘티): Developing a stem-cell-based platform for producing anucleate platelets, along with an integrated quality-testing system covering the full production cycle. Founded November 2025, Jeonju. Technology transfer agreement signed July 2026, ₩50M. ♻️ Dynamic Industry (다이나믹인더스트리): Makes automated equipment that recycles end-of-life solar panels through a 100% mechanical, dry process, recovering aluminum, glass, silver, copper, and polysilicon. Founded 2021, Wanju. 2025 revenue ₩1.155B, ~₩3.5B raised to date.
