Cook, connect, and reflect. Join FMS for a hands-on cooking class followed by real conversations on identity, masculinity, and growth. Cooking, Conversations & Self-Care for Men 📍 1 Lorong 23 Geylang S(388352) 🗓 Saturday, 17 October 2026 ⏰ 11 AM – 2 PM ________________________________________ A Different Kind of Saturday for Men When was the last time you slowed down, cooked a meal, and had a real conversation with other men about life? Brothers’ Kitchen is a unique gathering where men come together to cook, share a meal, and have meaningful conversations about life, relationships, and what it means to be a man today. Hosted by Fellowship of Men Singapore, this is part of our Men’s Self-Care & Conversation Series — creating spaces where men can connect, reflect, and grow together. Just good food, good company, and honest conversations. ________________________________________ What We’ll Do Together During this 3-hour session, you will: 👨🍳 Cook together Learn and prepare a special dish guided by our FMS chefs. 🍽 Share a meal Enjoy the food we cook together as a community. 🎁 Cook with purpose Prepare a second portion that you can pack and gift to someone meaningful in your life. 💬 Join a conversation circle Take part in a relaxed, guided discussion with other men. ________________________________________ Conversation Theme Is jealousy a sign of love? Many people grow up believing that jealousy is a natural expression of care, attachment, or commitment. While jealousy can sometimes point to fear of loss or emotional insecurity, it can also become unhealthy when it leads to control, suspicion, possessiveness, or conflict. This session invites men to reflect on how jealousy shows up in relationships and what it may be trying to communicate beneath the surface. Together, we will explore the difference between care and control, love and insecurity, and protection and possessiveness. We will also discuss how jealousy can affect trust, communication, and emotional safety in our relationships. Through open conversation, this session aims to help men build greater self-awareness, understand unhealthy dynamics more clearly, and develop healthier ways to manage difficult emotions and conflict. By learning to respond with honesty, maturity, and respect, we can create safer and stronger relationships with the people we love. ________________________________________ Why Cooking? Cooking is one of the most practical forms of self-care and care for others. When men cook together, something interesting happens — conversations become more natural, barriers lower, and real connections form. It also invites us to rethink traditional stereotypes about masculinity and explore healthier, more balanced ways of living. ________________________________________ Who Is This For? This event is for men who are curious about growth, connection, and meaningful conversations. You might be: • Exploring personal growth • Reflecting on relationships • Looking for positive male community • Simply wanting to learn how to cook a good meal All are welcome. No cooking experience needed. ________________________________________ Limited Seats To keep the experience personal and meaningful: 👥 Maximum 24 participants ________________________________________ Commitment Fee 💰 $10 per person This helps cover ingredients and venue costs and serves as a commitment to the shared experience. If you believe in this initiative, you can also sponsor another man to attend. ________________________________________ Hosted by Fellowship of Men Singapore Fellowship of Men Singapore (FMS) is a community initiative dedicated to engaging men in conversations about mental wellbeing, healthy relationships, and responsible masculinity. Because when men grow, families become stronger and communities become safer. ________________________________________ Come Cook. Come Reflect. Come Connect. ________________________________________
