Please, Sing Casually - PARAMORE & AVRIL LAVIGNE

We are a spontaneous singing group where we gather to relive moments and create more new ones! Are you coming again? Looking back at your emo kid era and thinking how far you have come? We are very serious about keeping it casual. This October, Please Sing Casually is back at homeground for a second cathartic night. Same 90 minutes of unhurried, pressure-free singing. Same welcoming community. On a Friday, at our homeground at Tai Seng. If you have been with us before, you know what to expect — come as you are, bring your voice exactly as it is, and leave feeling a little more like yourself. If this is your first time, here is what we are about: no auditions, no performances, no need to impress anyone. Just people in a room, making sound together. We will focus on vocal care and sustaining high intensity songs, so you may enjoy singing/screaming and doing it in a safe manner. Our music is arranged in a way that it sounds good on its own, and also in harmony with others! Songs we are singing: • Avril Lavigne - Complicated • Paramore - Still Into You Each session closes with a group-created song that gathers what we shared, heard, and felt along the way. You are welcome to participate with your full voice, your quiet presence, or anything in between. Persons with speech challenges and your loved ones are welcome to participate, such as persons with aphasia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease. You are welcome to be accompanied by a caregiver if you require assistance. WHAT TO BRING • A water bottle to stay hydrated • Clothes you feel comfortable moving and sounding in • Your Voice — exactly as it is • Dress the part! Black is the basic code. • Punctuality. We will start on time, coming early is highly recommended! If you are running late, you may lose out on some segments but still welcome to join us anytime.
