Seeds of Change: Climate Adaptation in Singapore

Most climate adaptation planning assumes two things: that we adapt by adding — higher walls, more cooling, more reclaimed land — and that adaptation should protect economic growth while it does so. In this interactive workshop, we start somewhere else. In partnership with Post-Growth SG, we ask what adaptation would look like if it were designed to serve social and ecological wellbeing first. We'll use the Futures Wheel to trace what happens next: the first, second and third-order ripples across our economy, our neighbourhoods and our coastlines. Not a debate about whether post-growth is right — an exploration of what it would actually put in motion.
