A monthly series hosted every fourth Wednesday by acclaimed violinist and Conservatory professor Peter Ugrin (Artbeaters), bringing the tradition of gypsy swing to life. The ensemble stays true to the original manouche aesthetic: high-energy acoustic music without drums, where virtuosic guitars remain in constant dialogue with violin and double bass. Programme: The evening begins with a concert set, followed by a jam session. Here, the jam is not an “afterthought” to the concert, it is the core of the night. New musicians step on stage, creative energy starts to circulate, and the rhythm grows denser and more intense. This is the part of the evening that can’t be captured on a recording, it has to happen live, in the room. For those who want to experience music up close and witness the process of something truly unique taking shape.
