Drawing on cooperation experiences involving the Republic of Korea, Viet Nam, and Lao PDR, the discussion will explore practical opportunities to strengthen institutional coordination, mobilise climate finance, and translate bilateral frameworks into credible, investment-ready mitigation activities. The dialogue aims to bridge perspectives from governments, regional institutions, international organisations, and private carbon-market stakeholders, with particular attention to the relationship between regulatory readiness, market infrastructure, environmental integrity, and investment mobilisation. Key Discussion Areas • From Bilateral to Regional Cooperation: Lessons from emerging Article 6 cooperation frameworks and their implications for ASEAN-wide implementation. • Institutional and Regulatory Readiness: Host-country authorisation, corresponding adjustments, governance arrangements, and regional coordination. • Investment and Project Development: Mobilising finance and addressing barriers to developing investment-ready Article 6 mitigation activities. • Market Integrity and Infrastructure: Strengthening carbon-credit quality, market transparency, and investor confidence.
