A New Era of Youth Service in America: NYS Strategy

YSA & the Commission adapt National Strategy to NYS and kick off State Youth Service Alliance. The New Era of Youth Service in America Statewide Partner Forums on MLK Day of Service turned out so nice, we’re doing them twice! Following a year-long national listening tour and collaborative strategic planning process that gathered input from over 3,000 people and organizations across the country, the New Era of Youth Service in America National Strategy was officially launched as part of the America 250 celebrations to double universal youth participation over the next 10 years. The second round will be around 9/11 Day of Service and instead of providing input into the New Era of Youth Service in America National Strategy, we’ll focus on adapting the National Strategy to draft a state-level strategy and hopefully serve as a kick-off meeting for a formal or informal State Youth Service Alliance that will continue to meet regularly and collaborate on implementation of the State Strategy. The Commission on National and Community Service and Youth Service America invite you, members of your team, and youth leaders representing your organization, to join us for these important discussions.
