About this event
Hive tours give people the opportunity to see the inner workings of a honey bee colony. We end each tour with a honey tasting! Hive tours give people the opportunity to see the inner workings of a honey bee colony. Attendees will be able to see what beekeepers are looking for when they are assessing the health and needs of a colony. Protective gear is provided and required, along with a waiver of liability. Closed-toe shoes are recommended, and we ask that you avoid wearing black and red (these colors can incite defensive behavior in honey bees). If you are someone who is thinking about beekeeping, or are just starting, this is a great opportunity to get your hands into a hive.
