At Long Dark House, we believe stories have the power to bring people together. House of Blerds is the beginning of a new community dedicated to celebrating Black creativity, imagination, and fandom in all its forms. This inaugural gathering is intentionally casual. There isn't required reading or a formal agenda—just an evening filled with conversation, new connections, and plenty of opportunities to geek out over the stories, characters, and worlds that inspire us. Whether your passion is Octavia Butler, Jordan Peele, manga, tabletop RPGs, horror novels, Afrofuturism, Marvel, indie games, fantasy worlds, or something wonderfully niche, you'll find people who are just as excited to talk about it.
