Mawsim Al-Zaytoun— 5th Annual Olive Harvest Fundraising Picnic

Join PYM DMV for our 5th annual community fundraising picnic at Barcroft Park in Arlington, VA. PYM DMV is excited to announce our 5th Annual Olive Harvest Community Picnic, taking place on November 1, 2026, at Barcroft Park in Arlington, Virginia. Proceeds will support life-sustaining resources in Gaza through the Middle East Children’s Alliance, as well as community organizing efforts across the DMV. Traditionally, in Palestine, this time of year marks the olive harvest season: Mawsim al-Zaytoun | موسم الزيتون. We are pieces of our land, just like every olive tree in Palestine. No matter how far we are from the land, we draw our steadfastness from its roots and branches. We resemble the olives and their leaves in the way we live, endure, and age. And when we are forcibly uprooted, we struggle and resist. We hope you and your family will join us for a day of strengthening our community ties, reviving and passing down our cultural traditions to the next generation, and recommitting ourselves to the struggle for the liberation of our land and our people. بَاقونَ، مَا بَقِيَ الزَّعْتَرَ وَالزَّيْتُون “We will remain here as long as thyme and olives remain.”
