Handel's Messiah

We will perform the entirety of Handel's Messiah, per our biannual tradition, this year benefiting two local nonprofit organizations! Since its founding in the early 1970s, the Camerata Singers has been performing Handel's Messiah, for soloists, chorus and orchestra, uninterruptedly every other year! This year, and by popular demand, we will be offering two performances of the entire work: Saturday, December 19, 6pm and Sunday, December 20, 2pm, both at Christ Lutheran Church, Hamilton and 13th street in downtown Allentown. Featuring: The Camerata Singers Pennsylvania Sinfonia Orchestra Eduardo Azzati, conductor Michelle Pérez, soprano Roger O. Isaacs, countertenor Albert Lee, tenor Jonathan McCullough, baritone New this year! Camerata Singers is partnering with two local charitable organizations: The Kindness Project & The Fund to benefit Children and Youth. "Help the local arts to help others!" Inspired by the history of Messiah, which during Handel's time and for several decades thereafter saw benefit performances at the Foundling Hospital in London, an institution for orphaned and underprivileged children and youth, Camerata Singers will donate 50% of the 2026 Messiah performance ticket sales to benefit these local, grassroots organizations that provide assistance, programs, and resources to area children, youth, and families in need. You may also bring donations of the following items to be given to The Kindness Project and The Fund to Benefit Children and Youth to the concerts: diapers, pacifiers, baby wipes, fidget toys, hygiene products, winter pajamas (all sizes), socks, underwear, twin sheets, and bed-in-a-bag sets.
