About this event

Soma offers an embodied restoration ritual to ground the body and steady the mind.

Full description from organizer

an embodied restoration ritual for the holiday season: ground the body, steady the mind, open the heart. before the end of the year gathers too much momentum, we invite you to give yourself a saturday morning to PAUSE and return to your body. soften, open, receive, and reconnect with yourself before moving more deeply into the holiday season. together, we’ll move through an intentional blend of yin and kundalini yoga, breathwork, meditation, and energy healing—all supported by live vocal sound healing. the movement practice will center longer holds, deep stretching and opening, grounding, breath, and presence — with plenty of room to listen to your own body and allow the practice to become personal. this is not a practice for performing a particular shape or keeping up with the person beside you. you are always welcome to modify, rest, skip a posture, remain somewhere longer, or simply receive the sound. the practice will be responsive to the people in the room which means while there will be a clear container and intentional arc, we will also leave space to move organically and be led by our listening— to the body, to the breath, to our energy, to the sound, and to what is asking to emerge in the moment. sound as healing woven throughout the practice will be live vocal sound healing from healing artist ki5, whose primary instrument is the human voice. through vocal looping and layered harmony, he creates full musical soundscapes using only his voice — offering sound as something that can meet us where we are with presence, grace, and wholeheartedness. sound and vibration give us another way into the body. rather than asking the thinking mind to solve or organize everything, vibration can be felt physically — through breath, tissue, sensation, and the nervous system — creating conditions that may support relaxation, grounding, and a quieter internal state. as the system settles, there can be more room to hear ourselves. sound vibration may attune us more closely to our own energy body, intuition, inner knowing, and clarity. the movement practice will culminate in deep stillness and meditation, with a final extended sound bath, giving you time to fully rest, surrender, and receive. energy + the body as home cat is a reiki level II practitioner who has practiced multiple forms of energy work for more than a decade. throughout the morning, energy healing will be woven into the shared space alongside our movement and sound. as we venture toward a season filled with family, friendship, travel, responsibility, celebration, complicated relationships, and heightened stimulation, we’ll explore what it means to remain connected to ourselves while also being in relationship with others. how do we stay present without self-abandoning? how do we re-member the body as home? and how might even a few intentional breaths, a stretch before dinner, a moment alone in the bathroom, or a hand placed consciously on the body change the way we move through an entire day? come exactly as you are. this is a warm, sacred, spacious, unhurried room. this offering is especially for anyone craving restoration, embodiment, or a sense of community without feeling like they have to give a lot in order to belong. your mat will be your own little island inside a shared experience — a place to receive, listen, breathe, and make the practice your own. please bring: • your own yoga mat, if you have one. a small number of mats will be available for those who do not have access to one. • a water bottle. • any personal props that help your body feel supported. a blanket and small pillow and/or bolster are highly encouraged, especially for the final sound bath. you are also welcome to bring a yoga block or other support. • comfortable, nonrestrictive clothing that allows you to move and rest easily. *no props are required. you can absolutely participate fully with simply your body and a mat. a light snack and water will be offered at the end of our gathering. additional info: photography + community documentation photography will take place during a limited portion of the event. by registering for and attending this offering, you consent to being photographed or filmed. this documentation will be used to help us share and grow future community offerings like this one. accessibility pricing if you are able to pay the full ticket price, please do! your full-price registration supports the artists, the space, and our ability to continue creating offerings like this. if having to pay the full fee would prevent you from joining us, please use code ABUNDANCE at checkout for 50% off. no explanation. no application. no questions asked. tickets are nonrefundable. note: registrants will also be added to our event/community email list so we can keep you informed about future offerings. you may unsubscribe at any time. this event is brought to you by healing artists: cat h. bradley cat h. bradley (she/her) is a healing artist, somatic and contemplative coach, and yoga and meditation teacher whose guidance is rooted in nearly two decades of devoted practice. her work lives at the intersection of healing, embodiment, creativity, and spiritual practice, creating experiences that invite people out of abstraction and back into relationship with the body. through movement, breath, meditation, energy work, sensation, and presence, cat helps people deepen their capacity to listen inward, trust the wisdom of their own bodies, and reconnect with themselves as a source of healing. her teaching is spacious, intuitive, and responsive and grounded in presence, self-attunement, and making room for the whole person. cat is a radically embodied weaver of energy, joy, flow, and soul love. she longs to make healing irresistible.
