Musical Magic: Improv at The Highwire Center

No AI, no script, no second takes. Highwire Improv presents real performers building the entire show live, from your suggestions. Tonight's lineup is: Grimmprov: Grimmprov takes the mundane and makes it magical — fully improvised musicals conjured on the spot from a single spark of inspiration. Expect songs invented in the moment, quests that spiral out of the everyday, and happily-ever-afters nobody saw coming (least of all the cast). Equal parts heartfelt and hilarious, its storytelling turned sideways: part sing-along, part fable, always unforgettable. Sondheimlich Maneuver: Sondheimlich Maneuver makes up entire musicals on the spot — songs, plot twists, epic quests and all. Timeless story shapes meet the strange magic of everyday life, and no two shows are ever the same. Expect big laughs, surprising heart, and the singular thrill of watching a musical get written in real time right in front of you. What is an improv show, exactly? Improv is live theater created spontaneously by the performers with the inspiration of the audience. Unless noted otherwise, it’s a comedy show, made even more exciting, intriguing, and hilarious by the fact that none of it is pre-scripted! At an improv show you’ll see a wide range of creative and fascinating humans perform a highwire act by making comedy out of thin air! It can take many forms, including short competitive games, slice of life scenes, and full length sitcom or movie style performances! A Highwire Improv show is truly a once in a lifetime performance, never done before and never to be done again!
