Wild & Rooted

A cozy botanical mini-retreat featuring DIY garden-themed mocktails, creative cauldron planting and an immersive plant music sound bath. Wild & Rooted is a hands-on workshop exploring mindfulness through two complementary practices: creating and listening. With a playful nod to the Halloween season, we’ll learn approachable techniques for slowing down, engaging the senses, focusing attention, and becoming more present. We’ll begin by exploring mindful creativity as we get into the Halloween spirit creating a bewitching cauldron houseplant arrangement. You’ll learn the basics of planting and arranging houseplants while experimenting with color, texture, balance, and composition. Along the way, we’ll explore how working with our hands, engaging our senses and connecting with the natural world can become a simple mindfulness practice in itself. No green thumb or artistic experience is required—just come ready to learn, play, and create. From there, we’ll shift from mindful creating to mindful listening. You’ll learn simple mindfulness and meditation techniques before settling in for a guided meditation and immersive sound bath featuring singing bowls, chimes, and live plant-generated music. You’ll have the opportunity to put stillness, listening and connection with nature into practice as we settle into an ever-changing soundscape created in collaboration with the plants around us. Wild & Rooted is an invitation to learn, create, relax and unwind while celebrating the playful magic of the Halloween season and discovering practical ways to cultivate greater presence and connection—with yourself, your creativity, and the natural world.
