Full description from organizer

Women have always gathered together to share the songs and stories in their hearts. This time around the fire is for listening, remembering and connecting to each other in the context of the changing seasons - of the land and our bodies. We use the Celtic wheel of the year and a corresponding map of thirteen core women’s archetypes to guide us as we travel through the seasons. Offering stories and songs carried in the oral tradition of the British Isles and Ireland, along with original creations, selected monthly, we facilitate personal reflection and community sharing. We hold a safe container, crafted for deep connection. We gather from 5.30pm - 8pm and provide a simple nourishing meal to share at the beginning. During the warmer months the circle will be held outside around the fire, as the weather requires we move indoors. 10% of all ticket cost will be donated to The Center for Conscious Living and Dying and 10% to the Cherokee-led chapter of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. You can choose to eat dinner with us or bring your own. If you choose the ticket option with dinner $12 will go to our cook. Dinner will always include vegetarian and vegan options, occasionally we have optional meat. The circles are held by psychologist, rites of passage guide and storyteller, Katherine Parker and singer-storyteller, tradition bearer, Jennifer Armstrong at Willow Moon in Weaverville, NC.
